My name is Alma Jones and I’ve spent the last ten years working as the Director of social media for a National Online Marketing agency, my job was to oversee a team of talented content creators who generated content for a variety of Clients operating a literally hundreds of different industries. This experience taught me one thing and that is that the days of generic content are no longer effective in building your social media audience. Consumers crave informative action-based content. They want to know who you are, what your story is and how you run your business. They enjoy humor and knowledge and they scroll though endless content searching for points of interest and no matter what industry you are in, someone is looking for you. When they do find you, it is important that you give them what they are looking for and generic posts won’t provide them with that.
